Trouble Over Tokyo, Pyramides, Klein Records, 2008

Trouble Over Tokyo, Pyramides, Klein Records, 2008

Rock is still changing, in the footsteps of Radiohead and Cie ; it creates hybrid bands who make it go forward in all directions. Trouble Over Tokyo put electro rythm and rubbed strings in their pieces, a guitar comes from time to time, you can feel the dancefloor. Christopher M. Taylor's voice has got pieces of Michael Jackson in it, a sharp crooner voice of modern times ; lending an ear to Eyes of me should convince. Be careful, Pyramides could transform your living room or your bathroom in an intimate dancefloor.

Christopher M. Taylor & les 3 questions du Dj Duclock

Dj Duclock : What are you reading now ?

Christopher M. Taylor : I'm reading A heartbreaking work of staggering genuis by Dave Eggers. AGAIN. It's third time I've read it. Damn I love this book. And other than that, I'm readind lot of email questions and maps and flight confirmation emails.

Dj Duclcok : What do you listen to this days ?

Christopher M. Taylor : I've just rediscovered Vespertine by Bjork... hadn't heard it for ages, and didn't realise how good it was at the time... my favourite Bjork album was always Homogenic... but this is a much more electronically understated record. I like it a lot.

Dj Duclock : What is your last surprise, the last time you were srprised by something ?

Christopher M. Taylor : I was surprised that Air Berlin let me on the plane yesterday, considering I'd been awake 38 hours, and was absolutely smashed on free vodka. I had played a gig at the Bang Bang Club in Berlin 4 hour before the flight (7 am, grrrr !) and thought going to bed was more dangerous than drinking my body weight in shots. And I was right, I survived !

Dj duclock : Thanks Christopher M. Taylor, I hope that we will see you soon in Nantes.
